Kylara's Space
This is my good friend Kylara's space. Her website was recently nullified and so she needed a home for some of her things. Hopefully this will turn out to be a good home and she'll be able to make it look a little more like hers as time goes by.
I Will Swallow |
Rated: R, probably, considering the topic . . . . |
Category: Filk |
Pairing: none, really (general slash, kinda – Sam/Al of Quantum Leap if you stretch) |
Description: a filk song sung to U2's "I Will Follow". |
Author Notes: Going home from work one day, J.D. heard the DJ on the radio give the Freudian slip (a nice purple one, too!) of calling the song "I Will Swallow" – and challenged me to write a filk for it. This is what I came up with. J.D., this one's for you, chick! |
Sodomy |
Rated: Oh, R |
Category: Filk |
Pairing: none |
Description: a filk song sung to Billy Joel's "Honesty". |
Author
Notes: This
is all Billy's fault. See, I
was watching him on Bravo's Inside the Actor's Studio, and he was
asked about how he came up with the lyrics of "Honesty".
He said he had the tune first, but no lyrics, and he was playing
it with his band, when over his earpiece, he heard |
Take This Show and Shove It! |
Rated: PG |
Category: Filk |
Pairing: none, multi-fandom |
Description: a filk song to the tune of "Take This Job and Shove It" |
Author Notes: I was asked to write a filk to "Take This Job and Shove It" for a co-worker who was retiring. As I did so, I couldn't help but sing, "Take this show and shove it," and so decided to keep writing it. |
These Are a Few of the Slashiest Things |
Rated: oh, R probably |
Category: Filk |
Pairing: none |
Description: a filk song to the tune of "These Are a Few of My Favorite Things" from Sound of Music |
Author Notes: Not only did this appear in Angel and the Dreamer 7, I'm also honored to announce it won the Best Poem (multi-fandom) award in the SIZZLER ConneXions con awards(http://www.geocities.com/methoschickee/sizzler.html). This is what happens when I watch the Julie Andrews double feature of Victor/Victoria and The Sound of Music. To Julie Andrews, for inspiration |
